Gotta love the podcasts
I've been toying with the idea of maybe getting an MP3 player to listen to music, podcasts, whatever. I'm leaning toward the iRiver T10 because I like all the features. It's still a good chunk of change so I'm still trying to rationalize spending the dough versus how much I would use it. I figure I'd be mostly using it at work while I'm working on a project. I don't know. It'd be a new toy. We'll see.

It looks pretty nice. Also, you might be able to use it in the car, too - more bang for your buck that way. There are more and more shows that you have their own podcasts - it seems like a good deal.
BTW, I just read that XM radio is coming out with a new radio that will have a tivo-like recorder on it so that you can record programs - which I think would be great if you weren't able to catch Al Franken at the noon time hour and you could listen to it on the way home.
i love the iriver
DO IT! Go for the one with the higher storage space. It's so easy to fill up...you think it's plenty of space, until you start to sort through all of the songs that you have, and you see that counter dwindling...and wish that you had space to add just one more song...'cause 99 Luft Balloons could really get you pumped.
I have one that has 40GB, which I don't really use now because it's kind of big and bulky. I then inherited John's MuVo 512MB, which I like a lot, but I wish it had more space. It has an AM/FM receiver and runs on one AAA battery. I didn't think I'd like the battery option, but I have to say that I now prefer it to the rechargeable ones. There have been many times that my battery has died and I've just popped in a new battery (I now keep a small stash in the car for emergency purposes). If it was rechargeable, I'd be stuck without it until I got home...which is what used to happen to me with the 40GB one. And when that happened at the gym, then my workout would last about 4 hours...or at least that's how it felt.
Thanks for all the feedback! Now, I think it's a matter of trying to find the right deal... and enough space to store all the versions of "Rock Me Amadeus"

Ed, I think there is a rule, Rock Me Amadeus can only be listened to on a Sony Walkman!!!
