A lock box

So it was Earth Day this past Sunday and I went to the library with my son to return the book version of Life of Pi and get the audio version to finish off the book. While in there, I noticed that Al Gore's An Inconvient Truth was available so I checked out that book as well. Fitting since it was in fact Earth Day.

I started reading it and the graphs, pictures and information are quite interesting. It makes you think of the vastness of the planet and how we are or are not being good stewards of the Earth.

Happy Belated Easter!

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Been busy with work and house stuff. and now this news...

The secret of the Easter "bunny" is revealed!

Easter Sunday morning, my wife woke me up from my slumber and whispered "Ed! Get up! Come take a look at this." I immediately got up from bed and followed her to the kitchen toward the back rooms that we're currently having re-done. We quietly stepped toward the back, looked through the slider door and... Nothing.
Apparently, there was a raccoon in the middle of the room climbing up one of the wall frames. By the time my wife and I got there it was gone. I gazed at my wife and said,

"You know what this means? The Easter bunny is not a bunny, but a raccoon! We just got a visit from Rocky, the Easter Raccoon!"

"Hooray!" she said.

And we danced and danced. The kids woke up to find out what the ruckus was. We broke out the harmonica and cazoos and played "Yankee Doodle Dandy" until we could not play it anymore.
