Good read

I just finished reading The Kite Runner on Tuesday and have to say that it's a really good book. No wonder everyone is raving about it. I haven't been that engrossed by a story since reading Angels & Demons and The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown.

Designing thoughts

I've been looking through other websites and have been thinking that the ole blog site needs a designing update. I know I mentioned this before, but I haven't had the inkling to do it.

It's not usual

I went to a concert on Saturday night. My brother-in-law had an extra ticket so I went. It was Tom Jones and the opening act was Tower of Power. Both perfermonces were very good. Tower of Power is a funk/soul band that have been playing since the 70's. They were great! I felt like I was in the Blue Brothers film, and what can I say about Tom Jones. The guy is 65 years old and still moving around like he's 30. The crowd was much rowdier than I anticipated and the women were going nuts over him. And yes, they still throw panties and bras on stage at him. We witnessed it ourselves. Some women were twirling their undies in the audience. Amazing. Mr. Jones is still the man.

Leaky Pot-ter

Leave it to our Canadian friends to pull this one off. To this I say, bravo! I'm silly, but I think it's funny.

Baseball, softball snubbed for 2012 Olympics

Why? Oh, why did they do this? Because they don't get enough professionals in the respective sports? I thought the Olympics were for aspiring amateurs/semi-pros to show off their talents without all the B.S. from professional sports. Sorry to say, but this move was not very British of the Olympic committee.

London calling

Not much else to say about the terrorist attacks in London other than we are with our British brethren.

London calling at the top of the dial
After all this, won’t you give me a smile?
